Mark Enriquez’s Jaw-Dropping Evo X

We all had that first car we modified, whether it was a set of wheels, lowering springs, or the simple intake and exhaust. That car, to us at that time was the cleanest, fastest, and only car like it around. For Mark Enriquez that car was a 7th Gen Accord; Mark had a simple drop, wheels, and a few little mods here and there to give it a little pep. Of course on a faithful day a few elements came together that would forever change his modifying car life. A new Saab, a lady, and one attempt with a mildly slow Accord left Mark defeated and a little ego hurt. He instantly went on the hunt for a new car and after a lot of research for a car that would turn that Saab inside out if they ever met again, he found the Evo X.

The Evo X was the new kid on the block, and with a lot of pure DSM enthusiast being in mourning that the 4G63 had been put to rest there were some doubts. Mark looked to this new platform as an opportunity to let his wild side hang out and tackle the Mitsubishi head on. Atlantic Motorsports was called upon to help out. Adding a set of Eibach springs the X had a mild drop, and within the next few months the car saw a stage two set up including an intercooler, a Cobb flash, and a full exhaust. It had seemed the power Mark was craving had been reached, and now it was time to add a more aggressive look to the car.

Being such a new car on the market finding body panels to make the aggressive car more menicing was a challenge. A special order Voltex lip was sourced, ordered, and color match to strike fear into any innocent Civic’s rear view mirror. Mark then began combing the forums to see what the fitment range was for his Evo and after some time ended up throwing a set of Enkei RPF1’s, 18×10.5 onto the car. The craving for more low soon took over, to help curb his appetite a set of FR coil overs were purchase. Mark’s Evo ended up leaving the conservative drop behind and starting kissing the pavement. The more that Mark traveled out with his Evo the more he noticed more people with the same passion, his friends soon grew to become family and after time XclusiveAlliance was formed. The group traveled to different shows and really fell into the stance scene, and after a visit to First Class Fitment 2011 Mark knew a new step up was in order.

It seems lately Rotiform has been mentioned a lot, and why be inconsistent. Mark Enriquez was dead serious on making an impact; plenty of Evo X’s were already rocking JDM wheels, so he did what no one else had even dared to do. The genius behind the concept was soon revealed in the form of Rotiform TMB’s in a massive 19×11 all around. The work had been laid down, and the Evo was breaking necks everyplace it rolled into. It certainly caught our eye at Canibeat. Mark wants to give a quick shout out to those that made this build possible: His girlfriend Grace who put up with his habit, all the guys down at Atlantic Motorsports, his XclusiveAlliance family, and his friends Alex Quach, Coco Saba, Mark Aquino, and Erick Cosme.
