Shark Attack : Raymond Leung's Combative Evo-X

In a time long ago, people use to be worried about so much more than wheels and what small objects they could fit under front lips or oil pans. Instead they worried about function, performance and putting their chassis’ to good use. Sure there are some of these guys still found across the country at local tracks, figuring out how to shave tenths of a second off lap times but they have become a dying breed over time.

For Raymond Leung, the Evo chassis was as good as it got. He fell in love with Evo’s years ago after his first screening of Legend of Speed. After he graduated he started his hunt for his first Evo 9 but quickly discovered that finding one that hadn’t been ridden harder than a girl off the corner would be unrealistic. Since this issue had presented itself, Raymond began to look at the new (at the time) Evo X. At first the redesigned Evo came off a bit too radical for his tastes but soon his imagination took the body lines to create an aggressive time attack inspired look.

When Raymond got his Evo X he kept hearing how people thought it looked like a shark so he built around that; keeping it aggressive with his exterior mods. He added Touge Factory Canards, Varis Side Skirts and Diffuser and Esprit Wing to keep that aggressive nature the car had started with. For Raymond the highlight of his Evo is the Esprit GT Wing which is a rare piece in every corner of the globe.

With the car looking like it was in attack mode, Raymond had to make sure its sound matched the look. Here he enlisted the guys at TF Works to create a custom Titanium Quad Tip Exhaust which gives this Evo a sound all its own.

Raymond has done an abundance of modifications to his Evo X and we loved hearing that Canibeat was an inspiration for his build to keep him going. The climax of this build has brought us a neck-breaking Evo and arguably one of the best Evo X’s out there and he has even more planned so be on the lookout.

Raymond would like to thank: “Touge Factory for all the local support and parts, TF Works for installing/servicing/building my custom Titanium Quad Tip Exhaust system, Proper+ for hooking me up with all the graphics on the car, WORK wheels for sponsoring my set of S1R wheels this year, Bulletproof Automotive for getting me all the hard to get JDM parts and 4 Star Society my car crew for supporting me all this time.”
