It’s not everyday that we get to see pictures of a Porsche thrown onto our desks; especially one with a matte paint job. Now, we know what you’re thinking, but bare with us, this is not your ordinary off the showroom floor Porsche, it’s got a lot to show, and we’re here to tell you all about it.
Purchased in 2007, Greg has owned his 996 Carrera since it’s been bone stock; obviously though, that stage never lasts too long for us enthusiasts, so we can only imagine how bad the itch was for Greg. It didn’t take long though before the Porsche was the victim of mod fever, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
Greg Jamison’s 996 Carrera, re-sprayed sunburst orange matte by the guys over at Auto Performance Aesthetics Club, definitely turns heads. Featuring an astonishing set of staggered DPE CS5v1 wheels measuring 19”x8.5” and 19”x12” on the front and rear respectively, this P-car is definitely one with the road. The modifications don’t stop there though. Greg got his hands a little more dirty than that. The Porsche wears a GT2 front clip, Techart side skirts and rear bumper, and a GT3 wing.
Currently, the engine has some basic bolt-ons including a K&N performance intake and long tube headers. Greg doesn’t plan to stop there though; rumor has it this P-car won’t be naturally aspirated for long. A turbo attached to one of the first water-cooled flat six’s in Porsche’s production will definitely make this car stand out….as if it doesn’t already!
We can’t wait to see what’s next for Greg and his 996, and with that paint job, we’re sure you won’t miss it! Special thanks goes out to Auto Performance Aesthetics Club, Acute Performance, Auto Fab, JJ and IAG, Team Elite and all of Greg’s friends and family for supporting this awesome ride!
